Robert
Robert joined the faculty at the Illinois College of Optometry in 2004. He is an Associate Professor of Biological Sciences and has been the course director and instructor in the first year Human Physiology, Pathology, and Immunology course sequence. Prior to that he was a Research Assistant Professor in the department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he worked on research investigating the neurobiology of depression.
Robert fell in love with biological and biomedical research as an undergraduate student at the University of Chicago and has been involved with it ever since. He has mentored high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in a wide variety of research projects over the years. Outside of work, Robert’s hobbies include fishing, horses, and cooking.
